“We want to thank our people in the tower who did the announcements and kept the players and spectators in excellent spirit: Peter Jones and Wilfried Hähner. Of course a big thank you to the referees who did a fantastic job by refereeing plus minus 930 games. As this event is a team effort of the whole club, a warm felt thank you to each and every person that participated to help make this day the success it was. Taleni Africa Tourism Holdings sponsored a voucher for two nights self catering at Taleni Etosha Village, which was awarded to Gunnar von Dewitz for the untiring effort he puts into this annual event. Hartlief food hampers were handed over to Attie Risser and Udo Sentefol for their hard work over the past few weeks, ensuring enough parking space and keeping the premises secure.”

“The weather behaved and it was a sunny and very colourful day. The beer tent was packed and players, spectators and visitors enjoyed the evening, dancing to the music of DJ Coco till late.”

“Thank you to our main sponsor: Windhoek Draught who made it possible to host an event of this magnitude, Business Connexion for drawing up and running the playing program, Radiowave our media partner, Hartlief for doing the catering, Mweb for sponsoring the e-mail connection and website, and Rent-a-Drum for keeping our premises clean. A very special thank you goes to Emed Rescue 24 for helping us out with emergencies, although they were not on standby.
Bose Namibia provided the sound system for the final games, making it possible that Heiko Kesselmann could commentate the final games and keep the spectators informed about the techniques and rules of volleyball, players profile and scores.”

We believe everybody had a great time and we will see you all next year again, on first Saturday in February,” she concluded.
